Recently I had the real pleasure of being invited to the centenary celebrations of a wonderful lace factory outside Nottingham.

George Hurt, the present owner, has kept up his grandfather’s traditions and succeeded through difficult times and was very proud to invite local lad Sir Paul Smith to unveil the plaque to commemorate 100 years in business.

It is moments like this that make my job so wonderful. We have been making beautiful lace scarves and knitwear at Hurt’s for many years and hope to do so for many more years to come.
