Baby Delilah’s Photo Shoot
Friday, July 2nd, 2010Our youngest model this season is 4 month old Delilah, who shows bonny Brora style already.
Delilah’s mum Miranda has been dressing Brora shop windows for over 10 years, and now her beautiful baby girl is the icing on the cake and the face of Brora Baby Autumn 2010.
It seems that Delilah has inherited professional expertise and a sense of style from her mum. She takes to the lens like a true professional, modelling our cute butterfly baby grow with dash and aplomb, and teaming it with one of our favourite cashmere baby hats.
The June day we took these pictures had the usual British summer temperature highs and lows, reminding us its always vital to have some cosy cashmere to hand. Delilah certainly agrees, she is adorable and snug in these hand knitted mittens.
Much of Brora’s baby cashmere is hand knitted in the Highlands. Out of our mill in Elgin, we have built a team of Scotland’s finest hand knitting ladies. Working from their homes they knit these unique garments for Brora babies and in doing so forge a link between timeless tradition and the modern enthusiasm for great quality and design.
The quality is exceptional, and the secrets of hand knitting to such a finish have come from generations of hands on expertise. Delilah may not know too much about this, but she seems to appreciate the effort our ladies have made for her.
Well, why not? We all know the phrase “throwing our toys out of the cot” and Delilah just wants to show us where it comes from…
There is nothing like a photo shoot to get hands on with the clothes, and to learn what works, and we all agree with Delilah that when you are wrapped in a Brora baby blanket, life is bliss.
Delilah was a dream to work with, and took to modelling cosy cashmere immediately. What did they say little girls are made of? “Sugar and spice and all things nice.” Delilah proves its true.
