It’s time to batten down the hatches and get snug for winter, and what better way to warm up than wrapping up in cashmere and settling down to watch a movie?

So for the ultimate Brora treat we added an extra dimension to our Winter fashion shoot and while on location in Norfolk, we made our first ever fashion movie featuring our fabulous collection and the beautiful back drop of Voewood.

Just in case you need reminding, in our movie we bring you cosy lacy leggings, socks to snuggle into and shawls and scarves to drape.

For wrapping up outside the star attraction is a a big coat and the fashion piece to go with it is the snood.

All this and so much more comes alive in 3D with our lovely nostalgic film. Watch it first to get in the Brora mood, them go and spoil yourself with cashmere this winter, and don’t forget the family will love it too. It’s the best way to see yourselves through the cold this winter.

At Brora we love to celebrate the family, and the Children & Baby brochure shoot is an ideal place to start. Who better to begin with than Robbie, a bonnie Brora baby and his lovely Mum Kareen?

Kareen was a Brora model herself 12 years ago, and her photogenic family take after her, as we can see with Olivia here, who certainly looks very at home in front of the camera.

A whole family clad in Brora is an opportunity we can’t miss and these boys rise superbly to the occasion. Here, from the top, may we introduce the charming Jack, his cheeky brother Alexander, and Robbie, the beautiful baby with the laid back happiness of the youngest in a big family.

No prizes for guessing that it’s Jack in the box!

It was adorable to see these children at play together, and we take our hats off to Alexander for his non-stop games.

He certainly kept us up to speed!

The latest venue for a Brora brochure shoot was Cuckmere Haven on the South Coast near Beachy Head. England doesn’t come much more beautiful than it was down there last week, where we were shooting some pictures for our Spring/Summer 2012 brochure (ouch, yes it’s true, we are getting it in the bag early!)

We were tipped off about this haven among the white cliffs and wonderful beaches by Ned Wyndham, lead singer of hot British band The Scoundrels who is a local himself, and stopped by our shoot to see how we were taking to the area.

The Scoundrels have made their new video for the song “Gulf of Mexico” on this coast line too, so connoisseurs can have fun cross referencing with Brora!
This shot, for example might easily appear in both.

But this one, with Victoria tweaking a bit of Brora cashmere might not!

With summer flowers and the bleached out beauty of driftwood against the famous white cliffs of the South Coast, we were spoiled for shots.

A great location, some wonderful moments and it seems a shame we have to keep our beautiful pictures under wraps until spring….

There is never a dull moment on a photo shoot, and when the Brora team sets off to photograph next seasons’ children’s brochure we never know what we might run into.

Setting the tone with a Scottish tilt, Lola kicks off by styling a pair of cashmere gloves on a thistle! Now why hadn’t we ever thought of that?

Lots of steam is always let off with an out of doors shoot, and we long to know just what Lola is negotiating with our wonderful photographer, her Dad Johnny?

Whatever it is, seconds later she’s boogying in the woods in these fabulous starry jeans.

Meanwhile, to keep our model Arya going, Victoria joins her for a quick portrait

while her new baby brother Sachin shows her how its done on his Brora debut and is proof that boys look pretty good in pink too.

Our young models are all so fabulous, and the beautiful Cumbrian setting so beguiling that its not long before we can unwind and head out to the river, where Lola casts her line like a professional and falls hook, line and sinker for a great new activity!

And by the way, this is a sneaky preview…Look out for all these fabulous new clothes when the Autumn/winter brochure hits you later this year!

If it’s spring outside, it must be time to shoot the Brora Autumn Winter collection! And Victoria and Johnny and the team are out and about on a wilderness day putting together the pictures for next season’s gorgeous brochure. It’s an early start for some who seem to have been tucked up in the camper van!

One of the challenges of shooting fashion brochures is finding the locations, and this picturesque nature reserve near Victoria’s home is an ideal backdrop for our story.

It might be a serene paradise, but nature did take a mischievous hand and Victoria had to perform emergency rescue work on our exquisite trilby which she fished out of the river!

But the Brora team is prepared for every eventuality, years of practise make perfect after all.

Eager fashion lovers will have to wait a while before these pictures will appear in our catalogue and on the website, but in the mean time, here’s the team on an out door tea break, with just a few hints towards the new season if you know where to spot them…
