Yesterday I had a delightful time in my Edinburgh shop. It is always a treat to head to this beautiful city, and to date, my most northern store.
It was wonderful to meet a few enthusiastic customers from the very young Violet Grace; to the more elderly great grandmother shopping for all her family.
In Edinburgh they seem to appreciate more than anywhere the support we give to local mills and love to see a plethora of Scottish textile, neatly piled up high.
Edinburgh was certainly in the swing of Christmas and the Brora shop hummed with customers choosing perfect presents. Ho, ho, ho!
Off to see my Yorkshire ladies now – next stop Harrogate!
Just been down to the lovely Royal Tunbridge Wells in Kent, to see what our fabulous builders have done over the past three weeks and what a transformation!
Beautiful hand crafted rails, vintage inspired hand blocked wallpaper, crystal chandeliers, adorable children’s corner; it looks great.
Now a few days to make it cosy and colourful with all our delicious winter stock. Should be all ready for the grand opening on Saturday. More news then!
Let’s Celebrate: come and welcome Brora to Kent!
I had a great day in Symons street this week. As I arrived at the store a gust of cold wind scooped me along and I felt winter arriving. And tills chinging.
So many lovely customers popped in; glamorous 24 year olds after black wrist warmers, Sophie Dahl cardigan clad Italian grey hound owners, a lady from Madrid of a certain age and a very loyal customer, customers from Devon, Belfast, Tunbridge Wells, and of course Chelsea.
The one thing they had in common was their unadulterated love of Brora. Many knew the collection as well as myself, and were full of useful feedback and tips!
Looking forward to a day in Islington this Saturday.
